A Grant from the State for Computerization in the Organization
Israel distributes grants to manufacturing plants for technological efficiency
The Ministry of Finance is distributing grants to organizations that want to go through computerization and streamlining processes.
The goal is to improve the business results of factories.
As part of the Ministry’s efforts to increase productivity among small and medium-sized organizations through many and varied activities (such as providing courses and training at very low prices, providing low-cost consultants, loans and other activities), the ministry also periodically gives grants in amounts that can cover as much as 50% of the costs of a significant project in an organization – such as replacing the ERP/CRM system, introducing IOT technologies to the production floor, upgrading the digital field, introducing machines and optimization and control equipment.
What can I do to receive the grant?
Go to the website of the Ministry of Finance linked below, fill out all the documents (the very many of them), send them to the Ministry of Finance by May 30th, 2019, and hope for the best.

Is this real?
Yes, very real. I recently accompanied a client in building a computerized program for the grant. The factory received 450,000 NIS, about 50% of the total planned expenses for the optimization of computing and infrastructure for the next two years, subject to the realization of their work plan and with proof of receipts from the suppliers.
As part of the work plan, we planned the purchase of an ERP system, the purchase of servers, hardware and endpoints for employees and an upgrade of the communication infrastructure in the factory.
We built a graded step-by-step work plan for the next two years. It included the implementation and expansion of the ERP system among the various departments in the factory, so that the factory will be able to continue the production work at all times while computerizing and becoming more efficient.
Tips for the Application Process
Before you fill out the forms, you must review the entry conditions. Filling out all the forms takes a long time, an application from a business that does not meet the entry conditions will be rejected and will not be able to receive the grant. Therefore you must delve deeper and check all the entry conditions (such as – the number of employees, sales turnover, scope of business and more).
The process is recommended to be done under the guidance of an information systems consultant who will know how to look at the organization’s computing from a broad perspective and how to compose a work plan that will include all expected expenses within the grant period.
